As a child I was brought up with dogs and for as long as I can remember we had a family dog. After leaving home I worked for a couple of years in London and then decided to move back home to the countryside and thought it an ideal time to get a dog of my own. One day walking past a pet shop I stopped and there was this gorgeous, lovely, scruffy mongrel dog in the window looking back at me and I fell in love. That was the start of a friendship which lasted 16 years and started me in the world of dog shows, showing BRANDY at exemption dog shows. In 1975 after getting married, ( when BRANDY was still only three years old ) I decided that she needed a friend and spent a long time looking for the right breed to be a companion for her and also to be part of our family, without much success until one day at a show I spotted this dog, I turned to my husband and said," This is the type of dog I want".

After quite a bit of research I found out that it was a Tibetan Terrier, and after a lot of searching managed to find a breeder that had a litter with a golden bitch available which is what I set my heart on. I purchased this bitch in December 1976 which was Kennel Club registered as Zepo Tina Saemo and henceforth known to us as Saemo. She turned out to be all that I had hoped for and from that moment on I was hooked on Tibetan Terriers.
